          2016 Waddle Weekend
   September 17 & 18, 2016
This will be our 19th Waddle Weekend and it
promises to be the best yet!  We start with our
theme for 2016....Basset Superheroes!  What a
costume contest that should make!  All of our
rescued bassets are heroes and should be
celebrated.  It's all about the dogs!

Because of the street repairs to the Dwight
downtown area, this year's Harvest Days Parade
route had to be changed.  That meant our
Waddle route had to be changed as well!  The
Parade Chairman worked to accommodate our
Bassets since we're such a hit with all kids and
adults, so it starts at the GABR Park and guess
where it ends....that's right, the GABR Park!
Once you get back to the Park, you can watch
the rest of the parade with a cool drink or ice
cream at Grandma Rosie's Sweet Treats!

We've come a long way since 1998!  Now when
REGISTER HERE you can set up your First
Giving Fund raising page. It's so easy to ask
your friends, family and coworkers to help raise
money for your favorite charity...just email them.
You can choose to have your own website or
form a team, reaching even more people with
just one click.  Register now and at the same
time start your personal website for our future
rescues!  You can help us save more dogs
The Bash and Waddle will be at the GABR Park
located at 413 W. Waupansie, Dwight, IL 60420.
Planning to adopt
at the Waddle?
You must be approved  and
your application no older than
6 months prior to the Bash/Waddle
weekend in order to take your dog home
that day.
Please get your application in by September 15
or else you'll have to wait until after the
Waddle to adopt.

Please review our adoption guidelines first
and then fill out the adoption form.

Adoptions will take place at both the Waddle
and the Bash.  On Saturday the foster dogs will
be introduced and then let go to wander the
Park wearing their yellow "Adopt Me" jackets.
The Adoptions start at 1:30 and go until 4:30.
On Sunday the Adoption Tent opens at 10:00
am and closes after the Waddle.
