Hi there! My name is Gatsby...as in The Great Gatsby! I've been in my foster home for 2 weeks now
and let me tell you I love this indoor life. You see, I've always been kept outside. My former owners got
me and a girl basset so we could have puppies. When we didn't, they didn't want us anymore and
turned us in to a shelter. Since I was outside all the time, I was Heartworm positive. But I've been
treated and I feel really good now...just like new!
I'm like a kid in a candy store with all the toys here...I've never had toys. They make cool squeek noises
and I love tossing them up in the air. I have other friends to play with too. I'm very smart and my foster
mom says it only took 4 days to have me potty trained. I don't like a crate (I cry) but don't need one. I
love going on walks but do tend to pull (there's so much to see and smell) so we're working on it.
I'm just a very mellow easy going basset that loves everyone I meet. I'm looking for the perfect family
that will keep me indoors, love me, and maybe let me sit on their lap sometimes and snuggle. I promise
to love them and snuggle in return. Look forward to hearing from you!!
