Hi!! My name is Beauregard, but everyone calls me Beau!! I live with 3 dogs and 1cat, and I'm about 5
1/2 years old. I am looking for my "forever home". I need a family with patience, because I still have
accidents in the house - but they are few and far-between. It would be better to be in a home with other
dog(s). I enjoy walks and playing with stuffed squeaky toys. I do not counter-surf, or garbage-dump, but I
am crate trained. I do sleep on the couch or in bed with you. At times, I will jump in your lap for attention.
My foster family says my heart is almost as big as me....

Stuart is a very sweet 3-year-old boy. He is a little guy (only about 40 lbs), but he has a huge heart!
We think he has spent most of his 3 years living outside, but he is adjusting very well to our foster
home and the idea that he is welcome inside! Needless to say, he’s not completely housebroken,
but he’s getting there very quickly. Stuart cowers less and less each time we put out our hands to
give him a treat or a big scratch of his neck scruff. He is learning what it means to take a walk, to get
a belly rub, to chew a rawhide, and to have a soft place to sleep. Stuart gets along very well with our
2 other Bassets and is always looking to them to “show him the ropes.” If you are able to open your
home and your heart to Stuart, he will fill them both with appreciation and love!

I would like you to meet Gunther. He is a beautiful red and white very compact boy He is a low rider and very much a ladies
man So you single ladies out there this is the boy for you. His house manners are awesome he does not counter surf or get
in the garbage. He does bark at cats. He will get on the furniture. He is not food aggressive He does not trust men but he
loves the ladies. He is crate trained and house broke. He is looking for his furever home so if you think that is you , fill out your
adoption application and ask for Gunther (4314).

Halooo!! I'm Charlotte and I'm the sweetest, curvy, red & white 5-year-old Basset you’ll ever meet! I've
been with GABR for a little over a month now and it's been great! For the last year, my life has been a
bit "ruff", but all that is behind me. I do a little shimmy when I walk, and never tug at my leash. I like to
stay right next to you. I was never properly house-trained, but with my foster family’s patience and love, I’
ve just about got it. I am crate trained, but prefer to sleep with the “pack.” I was not born with long legs,
so I taught myself how to use the pet steps to cuddle on the couch. I really love to be with you and will
follow you when you leave the room. I get lonely if I am home alone, so I need at least one friend to
keep me company, (preferably a playful Basset). My foster home has 3 other dogs and a basset that I
already know! I have learned to fetch my “baby” (stuffed toy) and can go up and down stairs with ease.
I even learned to use the dog door! I'm not fussy about my food, but I don't like to eat alone. I like
everyone, especially little kids, and wag my whole body with joy.
And if you like talking Bassets, then I'm your gal! I chortle and grunt and make all kinds of noises. My
foster Mom thinks I'm a bit of a drama queen, but hey, it works for me. I was recently diagnosed with
glaucoma in my left eye, but my eye pressures have been very stable with the help of my eye drops,
and I see just great. I don't need much...only someone to love me as much as I love them and a warm
lap to put my head. I promise to be silly and sassy and even let you rub my belly for hours. It's SO
soft! I know there is my special someone out there waiting for me. Won't you scoop me up and make
me your very own? Just fill out the adoption application and I may be all yours.
Fergie, also known as Cookie, just entered her foster home, so we are just learning about her. What
we do know is that she is a gorgeous 11 year old, sweet tempered and affectionate girl who had to be
given up because her owner could no longer care for her. She has gorgeous markings and soft fur.
She is a bit timid with other dogs at first, as she had been attacked by a dog at one time, but will warm
up once she is comfortable. Fergie is good with children and just generally loves people. Stay tuned
for more info as we get to know her.

Ginger was a stray prior to coming to GABR. She is a petite little girl, actually a little on the skinny side.
Nothing a few good meals won’t fix. She is somewhere between two and three years old, completely
crate trained and we are almost certain she is completely house trained. So far there have been no
accidents and she will go to the door when she needs to go out. Ginger is learning to walk on a leash
and doing fairly well.
Ginger loves to play with the other dogs in the family and will occasionally play with the family cat who
thinks he is a dog. She likes a nice game of chase with her foster Mom and will stand behind her and
bark to let her know she is ready to play. Ginger actually is a nice mixture of fun and relaxation. When
playing time is over, she loves nothing better than a good belly rub, a nice lap to lay her head on, or a
good doggy friend to lay next to. Ginger's ideal home would included another two legged friend to keep
her company.
If you would like to know more about Ginger, please complete the application and GABR will be happy to
put you in touch with her foster Mom
