I am an adorable basset boy, 3yo, happy and playful. I am house trained, obedience trained and I
do obey. Do you see my picture in the crate? I go there when you say: “Bruce, go home”. I travel
well in the car, enjoy walks but attention ( I am a strong puller), and I love to stay outside. I don’t
complain when it is time to take a bath and I will let you shorten my nail with a Dremel tool, without
judgment upon this dummy idea of grooming me…
I am very affectionate, funny, love your attention, will lay on the sofa with you when you watch
TV.
I am in a home with another basset boy, we play a lot, I do long jumps …ooooooover my bed! I
have never seen a cat, what is it? But I know rabbits, never caught one yet, but I am trying…

I have several allergies. If I stay strictly on my diet and on my medications, I can do well.
I dream of a family that may accept me and offer the consistency I need to keep my allergies
under control. Lots and lots of love, fun and kisses as reward.

Yours, Bruce

Meet Daisy Mae (Daisy) for short.  I am crate trained, house trained &  have not had one accident
since I've been in my foster home. I do like to see whats on tables & counters. My foster parents are
working with me, so I don't do this anymore.  I am getting better so my foster mom says. I do ask for
one favor that being that I go to a forever home with a strong leader.  I have a stubborn streak which I
am trying very hard to not have.  My foster parents have been working very hard with me so I can
trust humans again.  I would like a forever home with children 14 years & older or a single family would
be great for me.  I do well in my crate & need to be there while you are gone,  I prefer to sleep there
as well.  I LOVE toys & my belly rubbed, I"ll roll over for you to rub it too.  I do well on a leash & love
car rides.  I have no food or toy aggressions. So if you have the love & time PLEASE consider me.

In honor of all the loving Bassets who bring us
Peace, Joy and Happiness!
I'm Harley, the friendliest, tail-waggin'est doggie in town!   When my family could no longer take
care of me, GABR came to the rescue.  I just turned 6 years old, and love to chase birds around
the back yard, but probably won't ever catch one.  I have recently been introduced to something
called "cats" and I have NO idea what to make of them.  It made a funny noise when I went to
smell it and bopped me on the nose ( rude ) so I just left it alone.  I am a true gentleman and
only do my business outside, I'll start to moan, or bark a little or do a little dance towards the
door to let you know "it's time!"  I walk very nicely on a leash, but admit I do get excited and pull
a little at first.  I eventually slow down to a nice pace and stop to smell the roses (and everything
else for that matter!)  I'm a good eater with a gorgeous tight coat and fairly round in the hips.
I'm ok in the crate, but to tell you the truth, I pretty much like to curl up on a soft chair or pillow
and power nap when no one is around.   I just want to find my forever home where I can snuggle
on the sofa and nuzzle your ears (yes, I'm an ear-man) and watch movies.  Seriously, are you
telling me you can say "NO" to this face????  Just fill out the
adoption application and I may be
all yours.
Ok people, Greg here again! I've given you a lot of time to think about me.
I'm a 10 year old boy with a very attractive coat as I'm a long haired
Basset! Please do not let my age give you paws. Remember, I am only 1 in
4,000 having long hair making me VERY UNIQUE!!  I am a very loving, and
affectionate boy. Although my foster mom gives me a lot of love and
attention, I would love to have a forever home.

Again, let me say, I have excellent manners. I just want to be with a human
most of the time. I am crate trained, but really do not need one. If you
already have another dog, that's OK because I get along with everyone.
There is currently a big yellow lab, other bassets and a German shepherd mix
that I get along with very well.

If you want to be a standout with a unique Basset Hound, just fill out an
application to adopt me. I'll be waiting to hear from you.

If you would like to be a unique basset owner, just complete an
application and I could be yours.

Gunther is looking for his furever home. He is a very handsome fellow....a definite low rider.  He is a very gentle boy and very
laid back. He is housetrained and crate trained. He is not food aggressive and likes cats but does bark at them. He is a little
shy at first when he meets strangers but warms up to people very quickly. He gets along with other dogs. He will get on the
furniture but if you tell him "no", he won't. He walks very well on a leash and likes to ride in the car. His house manners are
great....no counter surfing or garbage picker. He takes treats very gently.

If you are looking for a reserved and very loyal friend, fill out your
adoption application and ask for Gunther .

Hello, my name is Ethel, I am 3 years old, and have arrived at my foster home about a
week ago after undergoing heartworm treatment.  I have settled into my foster home very
well, and you know when I was at the vet office and I was leaving, I heard him say she
needs to be a complete "couch potato" for a few weeks as I recover from my treatment and as
you can see I am doing just as the doctor ordered.

I have had my 1st treatment and will have to have my final one on August 1st.  I am doing
very well.  Learning what it is like being an inside dog and leading a life what a basset
hound should be living.

My housetraining is coming along very well and I am figuring out all the necessary thing for
being an inside dog.  I am a very loving and cuddle bug, very mellow and just want someone
to give me a loving and forever home.

Please check back on my progress and updates................
.
This is Sheila!  She's a sweet & loving little girl who needs to find her forever home!  She is
approx 7 years old and in really good shape for her age - especially considering she is
currently undergoing heart worm treatment.  She is doing great so far & recovering quickly
with her foster family.  She should be cleared by the doctor and ready to be adopted just in
time for the GABR Waddle in September!  She is wonderful with other dogs, kids of all ages
and even cats.  She loves to cuddle and give kisses and loves being part of a family.  If you
are interested, don't wait,
apply now!  She will make a wonderful addition to any family!
